Featured Artists: Mary Rose Drescher & Lanni Weingarten
The new year brings two new artists to the gallery: We are pleased to present the works of Mary Rose Drescher & Lanni Weingarten
Mary Rose Drescher is a Bowen Island artist with a background in fine arts and architecture with a BFA from Mt Allison University in New Brunswick and an M. Architecture from UBC.
Her recent paintings capture the essence of the local island landscape. You may recognize her last name from our artist fold as her mother and father are also artists in the collective.
Lanni is a mixed media artist, yogi, and dog lover living in Vancouver, Canada. Much like a meditative walk in a garden, the viewer's eye gets pulled into her paintings to meander and uncover the many interesting details; encouraging the viewer to pause and reflect. Playing with colour, texture and many mediums Lanni creates layers and depth in this "feel good", happy art.
